About Modern Strength Psychology Center Culture

Modern Strength Psychology Center is a group of neuropsychology, psychology, and psychotherapy professionals who enjoy working with and empowering a wide variety of individuals across the lifespan. Our private practice includes two neuropsychologists, a counseling psychologist, a licensed clinical social worker, a psychometrist and several practicum students.

We currently provide neuropsychological and psychological services to children, adolescents, and adults. Due to a high volume of referrals, we are seeking to fulfill a number of positions.

Our practice is dedicated to equipping each of our clients with the tools and knowledge they need to discover and become the best version of themselves. We are focused on providing care to individuals from all walks of life including, but not limited to, individuals of all ethnic, racial, socioeconomic, neurodivergent and LBGTQIA2+ backgrounds.

Neurodivergent-Focused Therapist

About Position:

At Modern Strength Psychology Center, we recognize that neurodivergence is not a flaw or problem to be solved, but rather a “neurotype” to be better understood. Neurodivergence looks different for each client and should be recognized as such. We are looking for a licensed or license-eligible therapist who empowers neurodiverse individuals using an affirming approach. This individual should seek to foster an environment of acceptance and understanding and tailor treatment to each individual client’s needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify symptoms and diagnoses.
  • Provide high quality, compassionate and ethical outpatient mental health therapy to clients as scheduled.
  • Provide in-person/on-site and/or telehealth psychotherapy services to a diverse range of clients as scheduled and in accordance with practice policies.
  • Regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to work is required
  • Maintain current licensure and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and professional codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for MSPC
  • Maintain strict adherence to confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in our EHR, TherapyNotes

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong interest in working in a private practice setting
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Adherence to ethical code of conduct based on licensure and degree
  • Experience completing treatment plans and clinical case notes.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to complete and submit appropriate documentation in a timely manner.
  • Ideal candidates will have a general knowledge of therapy services, community resources, insurance billing, and previous experience with mental health documentation.
  • Comfort and familiarity working with a diverse client base.
  • Proficient in the use of typical office technology (computers, e-mail, etc.) and Electronic Health Record systems.

Applicant psychologists must hold a doctoral-level (Ph.D. or Psy.D) from an accredited university, be licensed or license-eligible in the State of Indiana and have successfully completed post-doctoral training in psychology.

Other applicants must hold a Master’s level or higher degree in a behavioral science or related field and be licensed or license-eligible in the State of Indiana. Consideration for employee (W-2) positions will be given to candidates with associate level licensure or who are in the process of becoming licensed.

General Psychotherapist

About Position:

We are seeking a licensed, license-eligible, or pre-licensed therapist to join our team. We are especially interested in those who would like to work with our lesser-served client populations such as children, adolescents, and couples, but are open to therapists who are looking for adult caseloads as well.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify symptoms and diagnoses.
  • Provide high quality, compassionate and ethical outpatient mental health therapy to clients as scheduled.
  • Provide in-person/on-site and/or telehealth psychotherapy services toa diverse range of clients as scheduled and in accordance with practice policies.
  • Regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to work is required
  • Maintain current licensure and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and professional codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for MSPC

Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

About Position:

We are currently seeking a psychiatric-mental health practitioner to join our growing multi-disciplinary team at MSPC. We are specifically seeking a provider advocates a holistic approach to clients’ mental and physical well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Issue prescriptions in accordance with treatment guidelines, as well as providing patient education regarding risks, benefits and reasonable outcome expectations
  • Maintain current licensure and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and professional codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for MSPC
  • Maintain strict adherence to confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines
  • Completed required clinical documentation in the electronic medical record in a timely manner
  • Actively participate as a positive member of the clinical environment
  • Actively cultivate and utilize local community referral resources
  • Maintain open, clear and concise communication in a positive, patient-centered manner

Required Qualifications:

  • Fully licensed in the State of Indiana
  • Ability to work with clients with complex mental health issues
  • Solid computer and basic technology skills
  • Collaborate with other providers
  • Demonstrated a history of professional growth and development
  • Self-motivated and independent
  • Excellent communication, patient relations, and time management skills
  • Experience in collecting, organizing, recording, and communicating, while taking health histories and administering mental health screening questionnaires

Postdoctoral Fellowship in Neuropsychology

About Position:

Modern Strength Psychology Center (MSPC) is excited to offer an excellent training opportunity with an emphasis on neurodevelopmental diagnoses throughout the lifespan. This post-doctoral fellowship in neuropsychology is designed as a 24-month, full-time position, with a flexible start date between August 1st and September 15th, 2024 and providing 4,000 hours of clinical training.

As a fellow at MSPC, trainees will complete an average of three neuropsychological evaluations per week, with an option to spend a fourth day of client care doing another neuropsychological evaluation or offering a day of therapy. In addition, the fellow will have the opportunity to provide umbrella supervision to practicum students and psychometricians, and will receive supervision from two licensed neuropsychologists and a counseling psychologist on staff. If trainees are interested in other opportunities, such as forensic, sport, or professional psychology, opportunities will be made available to join cases as they arise. Furthermore, this position will allow for the unique opportunity to develop knowledge about the business aspects of working and running a group private practice.

Requirements:

Applicants must have the following qualifications:

  • Completion of an APA-accredited PhD or PsyD Program by start date in School Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or Clinical Psychology
  • Completion of APA-accredited internship

Preference will be given to individuals who:

  • Have extensive training in assessment, especially neuropsychological assessment and neurodevelopmental diagnoses
  • Have a strong interest in working with individuals across the lifespan
  • Are interested in working with LGBTQIA+ clients

Compensation & Benefits Package:

  • $50,000 to 53,000 annual salary (first year); $53,000 to 55,000 salary (second year)
